This notice explains what information The Orc’s Head collects through Sci-Fi Battleforge, why it is used and the choices available to you.

Last updated: 25 August 2026

Who controls your information

The Orc’s Head – Art & Adventure Supplies is responsible for information collected through this website. Privacy and unsubscribe requests can be sent to orcshead1@orcshead.com.

What we collect

  • Your email address and consent choices when you join the development list or crowdfunding-interest register.
  • Your optional email, player type, selected priorities and written comments when you send feedback.
  • Limited first-party product events, such as a page view, demo hit, report download or completed form. These events are used in aggregate and do not include advertising identifiers or fingerprinting data.

Please do not include medical, financial or other sensitive personal information in a feedback message.

Why we use it

Updates you request

We use your consent to send the Sci-Fi Battleforge development, playtest or crowdfunding updates you selected. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Feedback and product improvement

We use feedback and limited product-usage events to understand what players need, improve the demo and plan the alpha. Our basis is our legitimate interest in developing and operating the project, balanced against your privacy.

Keeping the service safe

We may use necessary technical records to prevent abuse, diagnose failures and protect the website.

How long we keep it

Development-list and crowdfunding records are kept until you unsubscribe or, if earlier review shows they are no longer needed, removed. Feedback is normally reviewed for deletion after 24 months. First-party product events are normally reviewed for deletion after 12 months. Records may be kept longer where reasonably needed to resolve a dispute or meet a legal obligation.

Who receives it

Information is used by The Orc’s Head and the service providers required to host and operate Sci-Fi Battleforge. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use the information submitted here for third-party behavioural advertising.

Cookies and local storage

The public demo does not set non-essential advertising or analytics cookies. Temporary console saves remain only in the open page session. Necessary hosting and security technology may still be used to deliver the site safely.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your information, object to certain uses, and receive information you provided in a portable format. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it.

Contact orcshead1@orcshead.com with your request. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office through ico.org.uk.

Age requirement

The development list is for people aged 16 or over. Do not submit an email address if you are under 16.

Changes to this notice

This notice may be updated as the project and its services develop. The date at the top will show when it was last revised.
